Our food & beverage services
Just a few steps from the Balcone di Giulietta, for over a century a point of reference in town for good food, history and culture: our bars and restaurants, located in the heart of Verona, serve throughout the day breakfast, a quick lunch or a romantic dinner, an aperitivo in the square, an after-theatre drink or just a tasty snack.
Which is the best way to start or end your day? With a breakfast or an aperitivo at the Casa Mazzanti, the perfect meeting point in downtown Verona: with its tables overlooking Piazza Erbe, it offers an excellent choice of cocktails, wines, hot drinks and a delicious offer of cicchetti which also includes sushi and sashimi.

The right place for lunch or dinner? It’s the Trattoria Pizzeria Impero, in Piazza dei Signori, center of Verona: created in the early 1900s as a café, is now a well-known trattoria, restaurant and pizzeria. Here you can taste Verona’s typical dishes – like bigoli all’anatra or filetto al tartufo -, as well as organic pizza made with ancient grains, light and genuine.

Or try the Altro Impero, spin-off of the nearby Impero, with an informal ambience, serving local and typical Italian dishes, with a special attention for pizza, prepared after a 24-hour natural leavening period with homemade sourdough starter.

A romantic dinner? The right spot is the Ristorante Pizzeria Olivo 1939, overlooking Piazza Bra. A historic venue (it was a gathering point for artists and scholars from Verona), it mingles local traditional recipes with international influences. Its “Sala Futurista” on the lower floor with its pictorial cycle of Romeo and Juliet is fully part of Verona’s artistic heritage.

Want to stop for a drink or have a break with a view on the Arena? La Costa in Bra, overlooking Piazza Bra and the Arena, has been talked about since 1962, when it was the first to bring pizza to Verona. Nowadays it is a lively bar and restaurant – the first in Italy to introduce a gluten-free sourdough starter - that welcomes customers from breakfast to dinner passing through aperitif, lunch and late night drinks.

Ice-cream break? The Gelateria Impero lies between the very central Piazza Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, corresponding to the Roman forum. Its ice-cream is made with high quality ingredients in the name of the classic Italian ice-cream, as well as granite and frozen yogurt.
